On the third day of Panja, we were gathered by the Yardna (flowing water) of Sister Dale, in the company of our dear ones. Amidst prayers for goodness, health, and freedom from worldly troubles, the Toghos Masbuta (Baptismal ritual) was performed.

Today, we are at San Marcos Springs. Due to the change in weather and the cold air, there will be no baptisms during these last two days of the blessed Panja. However, the presence of brothers and sisters who have the time to participate in prayer and supplication is highly encouraged.

Dear Mandaean Fellow Believers,

Devout and committed Mandaean brothers and sisters living in San Antonio and the surrounding areas would like to inform you that every Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., a prayer service and discussion of Mandaean religious topics will be conducted by Tarmida Bassam at the holy place of the Mandi.

We kindly invite everyone, together with our younger and future generations, to continue and preserve the tradition of prayer and supplication at the holy Mandi.

We would like to share the following information regarding the upcoming holy days of Banjeh (The Five Days of Light). Please take note of the schedule for the period of Ambtalat (days of abstinence/fasting) and the blessed festival:

March 8 – March 12: The 5 days of Ambtalat (Pre-Banjeh abstinence).

March 13 – March 17: The Blessed Days of Banjeh.

March 18: The day of Ambtal Sagheen (Heavy Abstinence).

Regarding the inquiries about the timeframe for the visit of a high priest (Ganzibra) to perform the Qabin (wedding ceremony) rituals, please be informed that, as per our annual tradition, this year in August , after Dehwa Rba, San Antonio will be hosting Ganzibra Walid (Abu Khalid).

We kindly request those who are prepared to conduct their religious marriage ceremonies to contact Ashkanda Hormoz Ahvazi at 210-322-5523 for coordination.

Furthermore, families who intend to hold a wedding ceremony before or after August can coordinate and invite Ganzibra Walid (Abu Khalid) either directly or through the San Antonio Religious Council.

1. Baptism Location: On the banks of the river at Sisterdale, at the address provided below.

2. Start of Ceremony: The baptism ceremony begins at 8:30 AM, contingent upon favorable weather conditions.

3. Coordination: For child baptisms and to coordinate with a religious godfather, please contact Mr. Ahwazi at 210-322-5523 to register.

It is necessary to mention that for children who do not yet have a Malwasha (religious name), please consult the clergy or the San Antonio Religious Council to determine their Malwasha beforehand, so there is no delay during the baptism.

With our best prayers and warmest wishes for all respected community members, we would like to inform you of the following:

Since the purchase of the Mandi of Ganzibra Jabbar (SH) in San Antonio — more than half of whose cost was generously provided by Mandaeans residing outside San Antonio — many dedicated, caring, and senior community members have offered their continuous support and assistance in structural renovations and side projects from the very beginning until now. We hereby express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to each and every one of these dear individuals.

In this context, following a call for help to organize and clean the Mandi grounds, the following respected members not only devoted considerable time and effort in this extreme heat, but also personally covered the cost of necessary tools and equipment as Zedqa (charitable contribution):

• Repairing Lawn Mowers: Mr. Ebrahim Naghdi, Mr. Fereydoon Jabalabadi, and Mr. Ram Ebad Fardzadeh

• Trimming Trees, Shrubs, and Weeding: Mr. Hormoz Ahvazi, Mr. Khaled Zahroni, and Mr. Towfeeq Sabouteh

While praying to Heyi Rabi Qadmayi to reward these gentlemen generously, we wish health, happiness, peace, and abundance for all Mandaeans, especially these dedicated supporters.

Please be advised that a twisted gold bracelet belonging to one of our sisters was accidentally lost or left behind during the event (likely in Room 244 or around the San Antonio Mandi grounds).

We kindly ask anyone who was present and may have seen or found it to please inform or hand it over to the respected Mandi administrator so it can be returned to its owner.
